As a Parish of three Christian Churches, we offer a range of opportunities to learn more about the Christian faith:
The Alpha Course This is course of ten weeks of introduction to the Christian faith. Each session normally includes a meal, a talk and time for discussion. Our motto is: ‘No question is too simple; no question is too hostile’. To find out more you can visit the Alpha website by clicking here. Visit our House Groups page or email Juliet Grayson here to find out about current courses in the Parish.
Baptism Preparation Baptism Preparation Evenings are run throughout the year so that couples wishing to bring children for Baptism can have a fuller understanding of the meaning of Baptism. See also our Baptisms page.
Confirmation Preparation Confirmation is an adult commitment to Christian faith and discipleship. Courses are run in the lead up to confirmation services so that candidates can gain a fuller understanding of the meaning of this commitment. Contact one of the clergy here if you would like to know more.
House Groups Several house groups run throughout the Parish—giving you the chance to learn more about the faith and receive support and encouragement in a relaxed and informal setting. For more information, please visit our House Groups page.
New Wine In recent years a small group from the Parish has gone away to New Wine during the Summer. We plan to take a larger group in 2011. The New Wine Conferences last a week, and include worship, in-depth teaching, and prayer ministry. To find out more you can visit the New Wine website by clicking here.
Spring Harvest Groups from the Parish sometimes attend Spring Harvest, a 5-day Christian Conference which takes place around Easter and offers opportunities for worship, teaching and leisure. Find out more by visiting the Spring Harvest Website Here. |
